Poor customer service & you can't cancel a contrac

I just want to express my disgust on the way ADT drives its business.
I have e-mailed a cancellation order on January 6 to 3 different addresses within ADT (all existing). I got NO REPLY. Then 1 week later, on January 13, I finally got an e-mail from a certain Tanya Brand (ADT), confirming the cancellation of the alarm services per 31/01. Today, I aget a call from one of ADT employees saying (over the phone, not in writing!!) that the services can't be ended before October -or the penalty that has to be paid will equal the amount of the monthly fees until that time. WHAT A DISGRACE! The services were cancelled 2 weeks ago and cancellation was confirmed 1 week ago, I can't believe they get away with this. Then the lady says she will slightly lower our fee.. from March onwards, not February, because the closing date for February was yesterday.. How convenient, that's probably why she had to wait 2 weeks to get in touch. (There were 2 sms's however, saying that we had to get in touch with a certain 'Dominique', no last name, nothing, and I called twice but NEVER got a Dominique on the phone.. but it cost me 10 minutes of airtime to be transferred 5 times every time!
