Extremely Bad service and no follow up

I have a cellphone contract with virgin mobile, however it has expired and I wanted to cancel the contract. I had called 3 times and still could not get through to the cancellation section. The first call I held on for 15 minutes, the second call was 24 minutes and the 3rd call 10 minutes and then finally got through. After getting through the lady tells me that my contract can only be cancelled on the 25th Feb 2014 and today is the 10th December 2013, this is unacceptable. The contract had expired in Sep 2013.I could not use my sim card since the 3rd week of October and I am still being charged for the contract even though I cannot use their services. While speaking to the lady from the cancellation section I informed her that I am unable to use the services and I am not willing to pay if this continues, and she said she will put me through to someone who could assist me and I had waited for another 15 minutes and absolutely no response. I am disgusted with the service from virgin mobile, I called again in Jan 2014 and was told that i will not receive the airtime that was due to me and until now i am being charged for the contract but cannot use the services.cant even make a call.
