Impossible to Resolve Billing Issues/Terminate

I have been trying for the last 10 months to terminate my ADT contract.

After eventually getting a response from ADT (took weeks, after not being able to speak to anyone directly and repeatedly emailing the address that was provided to me telephonically - this being the procedure advised to me by ADT), i was provided with a termination letter with a settlement figure. The settlement figure for an alarm system owner was 30% of the outstanding contract, versus someone who rented a system being charged the outstanding value of the system plus 10% of the outstanding contract.

In the meantime I had been contacted and ADT had confirmed that they would come and remove the receiver (because it had taken so long to get a response i had by this stage already moved homes).

I queried why i should have to pay 30% because i bought my system upfront versus the 10% - a fair question i feel. I would only be prepared to pay the 10%. Up to now I have not been provided with a response to my query, I am still receving the odd account (not every month?) and now am being told i have to pay the original settlement figure with no explanation.
I would advise that you be very careful before signing up!
