CCharged for an expired contract

Hi

I had a contract with C-track for two years and I went to C-track offices in Durbanville road (Bellville) to cancel the account as I was selling the car. I was told by the lady who was helping me that a proof of my cancellation will be posted to me, and I'm shocked to receive sms stating that I owe C-track instead of receiving my cancellation latter.

How can I be charged for the services that I did not use, and how long was the contract?

I'm not going to pay for something that I did not use, this is one tracker that I'll never recommend to someone I know.
