I was having problem with false alarms. Technician came and told me the batteries need replacing. AFTER the batteries were replaced, he told me the PC board needs replacing as well. I agreed, since there were no other options. AFTER the new PC board was installed, he told me my keypad is not compatible with the new PC board therefore he cannot program the old PIN back. (I don't know if this is the standard protocol with ADT. Don't take the arm in one go, but one finger at a time!)
Since after this repair/replacement, my system has been dialling out EXCESSIVELY (i.e. 1336 calls in 2 months), which should have been picked up by the Control Room. I only realised this after receiving my telephone bills. And yet, ADT is charging me for excessive response.
A technician was AGAIN requested and his finding was that my ADSL line is the culprit and installed a filter which will prevent it from excessive dialling. Problem persists, where 300 calls were made by my alarm system in the space of 75 minutes. I called to report this technical emergency 2 days ago and NOTHING has been done.
