Where are the ADT technicians?

On Thursday 24th October, our electricity was off for 8 hours. The alarm battery went flat but when the power was returned, the alarm did not work. This was exactly one month since the same problem occurred when our electricity was off for nearly 3 days. The first time the ADT technician charged us R2140 for a new panel and took 3 visits to reprogram it satisfactorily. This time, the technician cam and said we needed a new board in the box and there is nothing wrong with the battery. As we are pensioners and it is EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM AS ONE MONTH AGO. he said he would talk to his boss to get us either a reconditioned board or a discount on a new one. Since then we have heard nothing and can get no response from ADT except appointments for a technical call which does not happen. We have now been without an alarm for over a week and it is the weekend again when nothing at all happens in the ADT technical department. Why did the same fault happen again and when are we likely to see a technician? This is not the first time we have had problems with technical repairs t our system. The ADT guards are very friendly and efficient but the technical service is just appalling
