I installed a Chubb alarm in my house nearly 3 years ago and paid alarm in full up front at R12000 as did not want to enter into a long term lease or contract.
Due to their excessive service charges from Chubb I moved to Bull security that operates in Moreleta Park area where I will save R200pm and get more benefits. I notified Chubb on 17 September that I will not be with them from the 1st of October. They informed me that I had a 3 year contract and 3 month cancelation period to my amazement. I did not accept this as I paid alarm in full WHY WOULD I WANT A CONTRACT FOR THREE YEARS!! This was not requirements I gave Chubb when signing up.
Chubb also offered me lower monthly rates after I mentioned that I am leaving WHY NOT GIVE ME GOOD RATES AS A LOYAL CUSTOMER AND HAPPY. So they overcharge customers and then offer rates that is better if you leave.
As they will not be giving me service in October and charge at beginning of month I informed them they can not take money from my account. They not only took money from my account but also took radio licence fee for upcoming year.
Chubb refuse to pay back full amount. They are for service not given!!
