I have had a faulty ADT unit in my property for about 8 months now, I reported this when I was unable to disarm my system. I managed to get it working and then booked a callout as the system was not reporting the alarm to the control room.
I emailed the office twice since that booking request with no reply. So I stopped the debit order.
I then after 2 months they drop off a letter in my letter box stating I am in arrears.
I make a call to the call centre, 1st agent transfers me to KZN branch and the call goes unanswered,
I make a second call and then second agent puts the phone down,
I make a third call and discuss my problem with a very sympathetic agent who makes every effort to assist me.
He tells me a technician will be at my house at 8:30 Monday. I take time of work from a busy schedule to make sure I am here. It's now 9:45 and there is NO TECHNICIAN.
They are in direct breach of their rental contract with me and have been for 8 months. To me this this is gross negligence and unacceptable service. I will cancel my contract and they are to remove the unit and signage from my property. Canceling has now become even a bigger issue. I think a lawsuit might be in order.
