Went to watch GI Joe on Friday with Groupon vouchers which due to some technical issue, did not allow then to be redeemed. Eventually swiped my card at the same self service terminal and transaction went through sucessfully but nothing printed. Ask someone for help and was advised that they would refer same to the manager on duty. After a backwards and forwards of bout 20 minutes was eventually called to see the manager. who basically told me that Ster Kinekor and groupon firstly had nothing to do with each other - why then be run a promotion with them. Then was cross questioned like a criminal wrt the transaction and basically felt like I didn't pay the R105 for the tickets. Eventually i was told "will have to take you on your word that the tickets were paid for and allow you into the cinema". I offered to pull up my bank statement and showed the sms confirming the transaction. The worst was that i was told to "just wait" because she was seeing to another client who had more than likely only been there for 5 minutes. It is not my fault that the self service terminal was not working. I would like to be reimbursed for this purchase and do not think I'll go there again ever!!!
