Recording feature inconsistent and disappointing

We have had a DSTV HD PvR decoder for little less than a year. WHEN the recording function works it is awesome, but it is extremely inconsistent!! I find myself frequently having to tweak the recording list by deleting and adding the same show again to have it continually record the show. A show would be set as "series recording", then weeks would go by fine, when suddenly the show is just not recorded!! Extremely disappointing, paying for this feature because of busy schedules and then still not having the show available to watch. The decoder also has to reset at least once a day otherwise it freezes...??!!!

I do not wish to send in my decoder as I do not feel there is anything wrong with it, I think it may be a system error.

Please fix this incompetent recording function.
