3 years used an accredited installer to install DSTV. When it didn't work 2 months later I couldn't reach them again so called another one. They quoted me a whole lot to "redo" the installation but I talked them down to just fixing the problem. Over the years its the same thing - the service works for a month or two and then I have to call a contractor - each of whom want to charge me a fortune to replace everything the last guy just replaced. I'm now on my 5th decoder - I have brand new everything - STILL my service is scrambled most of the time and I get E30-4 messages everyday. Spent R6000 on repairs/equip and R22500 on subs!
The call centre is a joke! They insist I go to the online code clearance site on self-service to clear the error code but I've tried that service 40 times and its NEVER worked!! I tell them so and they deny it. So you wait in queue for an hour, then someone starts a process and you get cut off and have to start all over again. A week ago after hearing my whole story they promised to "escalate" the problem and said I would be called in 48 hours - yeah sure! I calculate they now owe ME R10 000 for all the days the service has NOT worked
