1) DSTV charged me for a month that I did not prepay. As my TV was broken I was not aware of this.
2) After dealing with 5 different people, I was told I will be credited, ("< We have requested the amount billed for the subscription in August 2013 be & credited into the account. The request is still pending, once approved the < account will be reconciled accordingly, however you may still need to pay < the reconnection fees")
...The next day I'm told to pay the fee charged...
3) The Client liaison actually shouted over me while I was trying to talk and I had to give her a stern talking to about rudeness. I was calm prior to this event!
4) The terms state clearly that it is a prepaid service, & non-payment = suspension with a reconnection fee payable. (Refer clause 8-10)
5) They tell me I was supposed to notify them. The terms (clause 5) only refer to terminating the agreement (cancelling the account) & nothing about temporary disuse of the service.

Internal incompetence resulted in my billing error.
Multichoice seems more interested in getting R99, instead of thousands they would have made in future revenue from me.
Shocking business acumen & no basic logic prevailing here.
