Fed up with Multichoice

Recreation & Entertainment

My HDPVR decoder suddenly went blank one night and came up with a BE1 error code. After rebooting a few times I phoned the call centre, I was told to reboot again which did not bring my picture back so was told I had a faulty decoder and had to take it to their centre in Umhlanga, I live near Kloor. When I got there I was told all I needed was a software upgrade which they did. Took the decoder home and couldn't get 2nd tv working, phoned again and told I still had a fault so back to Umhlanga where they reset my decoder again. Back home I still could not get duel view. I ended up getting a technician in at a cost of R450 who reset everything for me and sorted me out. Why can't multichoice give us some warning that we need an upgrade and ensure that the setting are correct. This cost me time and petrol to travel 200km, numerous phone calls and getting a technician in. The so called "technicians" in the call centre have no idea what they are doing and can only tell you to reboot your decoder, they don't know anything else and need training. I am certainly NOT very happy with Multichoice.
