Billed for Service even though it was cancelled

I phoned to apply for dstv. When the lady tried to connect me, she said that our decoder was not working
And that we should take it to be repaired. She told me to phone the next day when we have a new decoder
Otherwise we would have to pay. She said that I should apply again. I called the next day and the lady told me that I had been billed R 6. I told
Her that we still had no decoder, and she said that it was definitely cancelled. I then called the next day
To confirm that we still had no decoder, and they told me that I now owed R 60. I then sent an email and a lady called Lindiwe responded
That I now owe R750.

I have sent about 4 emails and the response is, send us proof of payment. THE CARD WAS NOT EVEN
WORKING, I HAVE NO SERVICE ON THE DECODER, AND HAVE THROWN THE DECODER AWAY. Please help. My complaint number is 4388714
