Waited in Queue for 10 minutes

Hi,

My wife and I went to the Eastgate cinema on 25/07 at 20:30 for the movie 'the big wedding'.

When we got there, I wanted to pay cash for my movie ticket. There wasn't a single cashier at the ticket counter. Some guy who seemed to be the manager, directed me to the beverage counter to purchase my ticket.

I went to the beverage counter and there was a customer in front of me who's card kept being declined and therefore we had to wait at least 10 minutes to be served. In the interim, I notified the manager who said that he'll open another counter and then went to the back but no one opened another counter. Because of this, we were late for the movie.

Had there been more than 1 cashier at the beverage counter or even 1 cashier at all at the ticket counter, which would be a normal thing to do, this could have all been avoided

I would like some compensation for this lack of customer service
