In summary, a DSTV consultant phoned me 2 months ago and said that if I loaded a debit order for my annual premium, I would get a 5% discount on my normal premium. I said ok, expecting the annual debit to run on the 7th of July when the payment was due. Instead an amount of about R5800 was deducted from my account in mid-April. I had this reversed successfully. Now, I am getting error messages that I have to pay for a full 12 months by the 6th of May 13 or I will be cutoff!! On phoning the call centre I was told that I could not change the debit date because the system does not allow it. What nonsense!!! So effectively 2 months of payments are being from me as I am being told I have to pay for another full 12 months from the 6th of May when I have only had 10 months of service. Firstly I was debited a large sum completely unexpectedly, which I was able to meet, but inconvenienced me with other payments and now this attempt at outright!! Not impressed!!!
