Stay clear of Koalet - it will cost you money

We were referred to Koalet as a letting agent. They found a tenant and refused to give us credit worthiness details stating the people were credit worthy. We got hold of the TPN report ourselves; there were 6 massive judgments against the people from big companies. We refused to sign the contract allowing them to let the house - too late since Koalet had already let them move in. There was nothing we could do. When they started to default on rent payments in month 5, Koalet would reluctantly follow up.By month 7, our Koalet contact Jannie, refused to talk to us saying that we needed to get the rent out of the tenant ourselves. We asked them to give the tenants notice, they did so by e-mail which is not acceptable in the contract, further exposing us. We tried to work through his boss, Alet, who would not return single call. There was no way of reaching her. We had to get a lawyer in to get the tenant out. Since 30/7 Koalet has not spoken to us or acknowledged our e-mails. As far as we know, they are not even aware of the eviction procedure we had to go through due to lack of interest. Therefore - no credit check, no follow up, no executing the contract on their part. Stay clear!
