Yesterday I found a surprise in my letterbox, which is on a public road and open to anyone. Pam Golding "kindly" gave me a extensive report on my property, detailing purchase price, owner's details, Trust registration number, Title deed number, etc. And here is the clincher - on the back page in small print they say I am not too worry as all this information is in the public domain and can be accessed by any person.

Now let me tell you as a businessman, I don't give a hoot about your Disclaimer. My property and the relevant details of my Trust is not to be placed in post boxes. I am researching the Credit Act as well as the Consumer Act as this kind of cold canvassing is unacceptable. Your agent's attitude to have done this is forward and unethical, despite whatever disclaimers you hide behind.

Your "report" consist of 5 pages. If you give this out to only 1 000 owners, you are using 5 000 pages of paper which will probably end up thrown away on a dump site. How is that for contributing to the greening of the planet?

I did not send Pam Golding an e-mail, as I know they will use the disclaimer to justify their acts. For a big company you need to rethink your selling strategy.
