I would like to complain regarding the dereliction of duty that the city has regarding controlling and regulating illegal building alterations at my neighbours property. This is a problem that is well documented and that my partner and myself has been visiting, complaining, writing letters and begging the City to get resolved.
My last e-mailed correspondence that I had sent to Ms Walters and all other officials involved was dated the 17th of February. The only point responded to was regarding a matter of irregularity which has been responded to by a colleague of Ms Walters, Mr Theron. I again appealed to Ms Walters to please respond to all the other questions and matters raised in my mail, I am still awaiting a reply.
The matter is very serious and is making the use of my house difficult and rather untenable, giving the very long time that nothing has happened.
Since winter is approaching and I need to affect some work to my house' roof where the illegal building work at my neighbours house encroaches on to my roof I appeal to the City to please assist in resolving this matter, even if only in such a manner so as to allow me to do the requisite work on my house and be free from th
