No response to objection of valuation

Politics & Government

July 2012, I received a letter telling me that my house had been re-evaluated and the new amount was registered on the supplemntary valuation roll. i was given the opportunity to object, but would need to pay rates on that inflated level in the meantime. No-one ever came to look at the property. I got an estate agent's valuation, which was indeed much lower, and made a formal objection which I handed in at the Brakenfell municipality on 11 July 2012. I received e-mail confirmation of this objection on 13 August 2012. I have phoned NUMEROUS times, but am always just told that the objection is being processed. In the meantime, I am paying rates and taxes on this amount. I now have received a mail saying that the inflated value is on the general valuation roll and I can object if I want to. I phoned today to query this, was put on hold for 27 minuters, and when I phoned again was told that I needed to make another objection, but the system was off-line. What is the use of objecting if no-one EVER responds?? Each time you phone you get another consultant, so there is no continuity.
