I singed a contract with vodacom Sandton City on the 09/12/2022. Contract ends today. I emailed Vodacom Sandton City on the 03/11/25 to cancel this contract and put the number on prepaid, no response. I also emailed cancelllations@vodacom.co.za no response. I called and spoke to a consultant to cancel this contract. She advised that the contract will be cancelled, however my last premium will be in december for an amount of R900 some odd, this is for the instrument and the 1 week benefit allocations.
I called again on the 21st November and spoke to another consultant who was trying her utmost to get me sign a bundle contract with them. I refused telling her that im not interested in any contracts and that i just want my contract canclled, to which she eventually advised this has been action on the system. I called again that same day at 16h50 whilst on my way home and spoke to another guy in cancellations who advised that cancellations is in place and all was in order.
To my horror i received a billing from vodacom this month which was over and above my normal account. I called in yesterday and spoke to Petuina who could not assist me, i asked to speak to someone who could assist me she transferred me to Muzi Mpofu in subcriptions/collections, he himself was shocked as why she transferred me to him. He tried to transfet me to the correct dept, by then the call got cut. I wrote to customercare at vodacom and still await a response from them.
Today 09th Dec 25 I called Vodacom Sandton City and spoke to Nthabi, she advised that the reason why my bill was high as i was no being billed for a whats app bundle which, this shocked me even futher as i did not sign up for this, how can Vodacom just go and charge me for something i didtn agree to, i will not pay for something I dont want and didnt sign up for, this is fraud!!!
I then contacted vodacom and was advised the same, she asked that i contact billings for futher information. I called billings on 0821946 and spaoke to Patricia, i explained her my situation, she checked with cancellations and reverted explaining me about the billing which she advsied was for the phone and full allocations for december, i questioned as to why we were given full allocation for December when i was advsied that i will be billed for the phone and 1 week allocations when i did the cancellation. She advised that is the bill and that i would have to pay it. She furhter advised that there is a 1 g whats app bundle added to my account, i asked her why am i being billed for something i didnt request and agree to, i will not settle this account.
Vodacom cannot just products and expect us to pay, this is fraud!!!
Please can you look into this as i will not be settling this bill!!!
