Unexplainable amounts of money to be paid

So I have a MTN contract, the phone gets, I cancel the contract, years later I get contacted by VVM attorneys I am informed that I am responsible for a amount of plus minus R3400.00, so I make the payment arrangements and get it down to a amount of approximately R1500 and I skip one payment and they just keep on adding interest and adding and adding how on earth do they expect me to pay up something if they keep on adding, so MTN you just lost a customer and I will ensure I inform everyone that I know of the ways you handle your clients. In my company I spoke to almost all of my colleagues and they also have complaints, this should ring a bell with you thank you.
