To Whom It May Concern at OK Furniture,
I am writing to formally express my profound disappointment and frustration regarding the poor service I received from your Acornhoek Mall branch concerning the collection of a bed purchased on November 27, 2024. I had high expectations for professionalism and efficiency from OK Furniture, a brand I previously trusted.
At the time of purchase, it was agreed with Ms. Mathebla that the bed would be available for collection the following day, November 28, 2024, as I did not have the means to hire transport on the day of purchase. Based on this agreement, I arranged transport and arrived at the store at 9:30 am. However, I was then informed that the bed was not in-store but at a storeroom in the Plaze Complex.
Despite promptly proceeding to the storeroom as directed, I waited until 12:00 pm without receiving any assistance or communication regarding the delay. At 12:30 pm, I contacted the store and was referred to the manager, who assured me that assistance would be provided before 1:00 pm. Unfortunately, this promise was not kept.By this time, the driver I had hired had to leave due to prior commitments, leaving me unable to take possession of my bed.
What is particularly disheartening is the complete lack of communication while I waited for hours and the absence of any explanation for the prolonged delay. After the driver left, I called the store again to report the situation. Instead of offering an apology or proposing a viable solution, I was simply instructed to return to the store—an insensitive and impractical response given the circumstances. The dismissive attitude of the staff and manager raises serious concerns about their competence and commitment to customer service.
This experience has caused me considerable financial and emotional distress, as I have already incurred unnecessary expenses due to your team’s inefficiency and negligence. As such, I strongly urge you to take the following actions immediately:
1. Arrange for the delivery of my bed to my address at no additional cost.
2. Provide an explanation and formal apology for the inconvenience caused.
3. Take steps to ensure that other customers do not endure similar treatment in the future.
