MINI NOT HONOURING THE MOTORPLAN

Miscellaneous

On 9 December 2013, I hit a pothole with my Mini and damaged the rims of my left front wheel. I was assured by their client services manager that the damage has been fully repaired and the repairs are guaranteed. On Sunday, 22 December 2013, while driving to Bloemfontein a warning light on my dashboard lighted up. I phoned Mini on Call. I was advised to proceed to the next petrol station to check the tyre pressure and if warning light is still on to take it to the nearest Mini agent as soon as possible. On 23 Dec I took the vehicle to Sovereign BMW and was advised it will cost R700 to have a look. They could not find anything wrong with the car. Should this not be covered under the motorplan? Since they could not find anything wrong, how can BMW assume that the warning light is related to tyre damage? Sovereign insisted I should pay for their services. I insist that I should not have been expected to pay out of my own pocket for services rendered just because there is a problem with BMW's administration of their guarantees and motor plan. I have lost all my faith in BMW and MINI South Africa and will not consider buying any BMW/ Mini vehicles in future, Space limited, more detai
