No Roadside Assistance when needed

Last night my husband is stranded next to the highway. I was under the impression that my membership covered support for myself and my immediate family. That was the message i received when joining the AA more that 10 years ago. When I phoned for assistance I was however told that because my husband's details are not captured on their system they will not assist him. I I am extremely disappointed that in the middle of a crisis I couldn't count on the AA.
