Liberty Wont Pay Unless Authorisation Ontained

In November last year I had an Angiogram at Sunninghill Clinic. Liberty approved the procedure however I did not obtain an authorisation for the doctor who carried out the angiogram. I paid the Dr Jeff King to carry out the angiogram and Liberty will not reimburse me as I did not obtain a specific authorisation for a Dr to perform the angiogram. I wonder if they expect their clients to undertake such procedures themselves or that the equipment does not require a Dr for angiogram. I am not an expert on Medical Schemes and presumed that if I obtained and authorisation for an Angiogram that this would include the Dr to carry out the procedure.

On making enquiries the call centre people just refuse to enter into a discussion.
