Liberty are paying for less and less

My husband and I have been a member of this medical aid since 1999 and lately have found that they are paying for less and less. I have got Renal Failure and am expected to have a Hepatitis vaccine annually but have been trying to get authorisation since January. I have e-mailed the prescription and motivation letter and got a reply from Liberty to say that the email has been received by them but still no authorisation. I have spent hours on the telephone (latest ref. no. 35079132) where I was told that I could get Engerex at any Pharmacy and it would come off my Savings. This is not true - the message on the Pharmacy computer says Medical Exclusion. How come every other Medical Aid pays for this without problems.

Secondly, I was in hospital from 11 April 2013 till 23 April 2013 as I had an injury on my leg and had to have 3 operations. The brochure for my option (Platinum Complete) states that they will pay 100% LMS Rate Unlimited for Pathology but I am left with a bill of R2614 which I have to pay. Any Doctor worth his salt will not do an anaesthetic on a patient with Renal Failure without knowing what their blood results are.
