Liberty Medical Scheme
After authorisation supplier won`t pay

Dr De Kock, my GP, referred me to Dr Odendaal (Pretoria Eye Institute) for treatment of Glaucoma. I personally phoned Liberty Medical Aid (bona plus) for an authorisation number. I also got a letter from my GP wherein I was referred to the eye specialist. I handed the letter and the reference number to Dr Odendaal`s staff when I went for my appointment in November 2012. I was informed today 27 February 2013, that Liberty Medical Aid rejected the payment because authorisation was not obtained. I find their service shocking because I personally obtained authorisation.
