Is this the best medical aid? Heaven help us!!

In May '10 the SANBS charged blood tests to our medical account. The patient details were however incorrect so Discovery refused payment.
Soon after this we moved house & didn't receive SANBS's notification of non-payment. Discovery didn't let us know about this either! In Nov '12 I was notified of this, for the first time, by a debt collector on behalf of the SANBS.
I only received the corrected bill in Feb '13 & sent this to discovery for prompt payment...
I was told the claim was too old & I needed to complete forms for the payment to be made. It "wouldn't be a problem" though because the original claim was handed in "on time".
Later I was told that SANBS altered the bill & the 'new' bill won't be paid. Two weeks after requesting this new bill from discovery I was told that there weren't a new bill but that one of the ICD codes weren't readable. I sent a better copy of the bill & I waited three more weeks without ANY feedback.
Today I called them AGAIN & was informed that payment is refused because it's older than 2 years, even though the original bill was handed in on time & they were partly at fault for not letting us know of the non-payment.
Pathetic service all round!
