Incorrect procedure followed on default listing

I changed medical aid and cancelled my membership with Discovery, in this process there was a bill of R1384 sent to a address that I no longer reside at. I received no calls, sms or emails being notified on this bill owing. eventually a neighbour of our previous address gave the letters to my parents when I got the letters I immediately made payment. only to later encounter a default listed on my name.
I firstly would like to know why no contact was made via tel, sms or email? when a customer calls your office you quick to advise all calls are recorded so please provide me with a recording on a conversation you had with me letting me know about this bill. also I get a sms 5 days after I paid the bill stating I've been handed over to SSDA, you clearly have all my contact details seeing that SSDA could sms me so why couldn't you sms me??? you bank with FNB so do I, meaning when I made the online payment it reflected on your side immediately. not all methods of communication was taken before listing me. the letters sent was not registered post either. if the default is not removed from my profile within the next 3 working days I will be taking this matter further.
