Optical Benefits below standard since joining PPN

I have been with Bestmed for the last 5 years, and since I have to wear glasses everyday of my life, I have been enjoying the benefit provided by Bestmed over the last few years. I go for eye tests and new glasses every 2nd year, and they have been paying everything in full. Obviously our rates have been increased every year by at least inflation, but mostly more. This year, Bestmed decided to join the PPN network. Where I ussually had a benefit of around R2500 in total, I now have 2 choices. I can either select a PPN frame, or they will pay R150 towards my selected frame. The PPN frames are from 1920's. The quality is absolutely shocking, and you are basically limited to a choice of 10 frames, none of them suitable of course. So now, we pay for a benefit, we dont actually receive. And together with that, they dont pay for the antiglare cover on the lenses. This is just the great service we now receive from just another Medical Aid trying to limit their responsibility with our money. I am feeling so fortunate to be able to pay R5000 monthly for this great service. Truelly a satisfied customer. Why are we paying more if we are continually receiving less???
