Lack of working administrative system

My wife gave birth on the 12th of January 2013. The claims from the various doctors were submitted to Bestmed for payment. The accounts were not medical aid rates, so they were all submitted to GAP cover for payment.

The 1 account that is not part of the PMB part of this claim, which will actually be paid by GAP cover and not rejected, was not submitted.

I find it unacceptable that the automatic process of submitting claims by Bestmed to GAP cover does not work. I get the idea that this was a human error on Bestmed's side. I spoke to a consultant at GAP cover and she informed me that this happens often, that claims are not sent through to them from Bestmed.

Starting to consider a different medical aid.
