Legal action threats?? Really?

I have just received a sms from Lancet threatening legal action if we do not pay their account immediately.

In previous correspondence I was told the claim was "rejected by medical aid", I called my medical aid who knew absolutely nothing of the claim - they DID NOT EVEN RECEIVE IT!!! When I quieried this with Lancet, their next correspondence said the claim was "pending with medical aid". I asked them why and how they could say it was "rejected" and the next moment "pending"... up to date NO REPLY, and no updated statement - NOTHING.

And now this sms threatening legal action. I expect feedback from you regarding this ASAP.
