My hubby had an operation last year Nov which costs in excess of R16000 of which Discovery only paid R5258.40. They paid the R5258.40 into a Std Bank account that I no longer have, therefore I cannot access this money to pay to the doctor. I contacted Disc on the 15 of Feb after I realised that they made the payment into the incorrect account on 6 Feb. From the start to now I have been given the run around, I spent hours on phone time, at my cost! They informed me on numerous occasions that the money will be reversed and paid into my FNB account in 2 days, so that I can pay the doctor. It has been more than 2 days from the 15 of Feb to date. I have requested that they only contact me by EMAIL only, I cannot take calls during working hours. Off course nobody reads and when they call I cannot answer. Then I get an email to confirm that they have been trying to recall the money from the FNB account. I am confused. They paid the money into my Standard bank account and are now trying to recall it from an account that they should be refunding into! Please sort this claim out as a matter of urgency.
