On the 28 March 2013 I received an account from Lancet Laboratories for service rendered October 2012 that an amount of R1148.50 was not paid by my medical aid Discovery. I then forwarded the account to Discovery and I was informed that account was not paid because Lancet Laboratories did not submit this claim on time. I sent Lancet the response from my medical aid and they said the claim was submitted on 14 November 2012. I requested Lancet Laboratories to forward me proof of their correspondence with Discovery as they are disputing the receipt of that claim but they (Lancet) failed to do that, they are only sending me the statement. I cannot understand why I must be the one running around trying to get proof of correspondence between Lancet and Discovery and Lancet. Whether the claim was send on time or not, Lancet must prove it to Discovery not me.
If Lancet didn't submit this on time, I don't understand why I must pay for their incompetence and if they did they need to sort it out with Discovery.
