On the 3rd of December 2012 I went to see to the doctor for a consultation, first time ever consulting with a gynae and I paid R1105 for the consultation, CASH!! He asked me a bunch of questions about my health, examined me including a pelvis scan and he told me my tube were tied and need surgery to determine what the problem was, that's it. There was no mention of Pap Smears, no specimens taken from my vijay jay, no foreign object insterted in my vijay jay etc. The only discuss we had (me and the doctor) was about the costs of my surgery and he told to ask for a qoute from his assistant who'll be able to tell me exactly how much it's going to cost me, the good doctor even mentioned that 'since you have no medical aid, it's going to be expansive for me. hence I should get a qoute before he books me and it should be around my menstrual cycle) No discuss about a bill in the future from Dr Buisson Laboratories for 'my pap smear'. Imagine my suprise when I got the bill! I've been requested an explanation from the doctor, wrote him a letter, called him several times too because I will not pay for something I didn't ask for and I was never informed about
