My specialist prescribed a medication for my Osteoporosis which was initially accepted by Discovery as chronic medication. They then decided I should use an inferior product, as it was cheaper. I tried to get the product but was told it is no longer available. I wrote to tell them that. no reply. I asked if they intended replying. They wrote back about their formularies and algorithms. I told them I was not interested in their formularies etc and could they tell me where to get the medication they insist I use. Got a letter saying "send us letters from suppliers saying not available - check our website for pharmacies" SpokeClicks pharmacy and they received confirmation from four suppliers that the medication was not available. Sent to Discovery. Got a reply cannot open the letter. PDF sent again. No reply. Reminded Discovery. Got a reply would I please get letter from suppliers - exactly the same they sent before. So I phone. The man says I must get a letter from the supplier - only one- saying medication not available. I tell him "read Clicks letter. It says they approached 4 suppliers - name etc given" - . No the man says, you must write to supplier and send us their letter.
