My mother was nearing 70 and as a family we decided to get her onto at least hospital plan. Discovery came back with a great offer of no waiting periods or anything via my broker and we have been paying since July 2013. My mother required an invasive procedure that will require pre-authorization. We did all our homework and contacted discovery to make sure of what was the best way to go about this. They advised us of a doctor that did the procedure in his rooms and we made the appointment. As soon as we tried to get it authorised suddenly there was an issue cause she only joined in July. No where did they mention this is the 5 or 6 calls before the appointment, this was now 9th October 2013. It is now the 19th of November and after more than a month of run around they have declined the pre-authorization with no reason given.

Why are you so incompetent that you cannot give the correct information from the word go?
Why do you claim no waiting period and then make us wait for over a month to decline us?
