Refusing to pay after advising that they will

I took out a medical plan from Discovery Health for my father and mother in 2006. I upgraded them from a core plan to an essential core plan December 2012. I am paying the monthly premies for them. My mother was Friday, 3rd January 2014, admitted to Hospital for extreme pain in her legs and also a leg that is giving way under her and making her fall. During admission by hospital the hospital phone to get a authorization number. The person from Discovery asked to talk to me. She told me that my mother can stay 6 days in hospital for which they will pay and they will pay a certain amount of a MRI. The receptionist in the MRI department told me that Discovery is not paying anything for the MRI. Three calss later it was still their verdict. I paid the account. Saturday, 4 January 2014, I phoned Discovery again to make sure that I was advised correctly on all the other stuff. I was told again that my mother can stay 6 days in hospital. This morning my mother was phoned in hospital and told that she can only stay 3 days and they are not paying. Discovery is refusing to speak with me as I do not have "consent" according to them.
