Received notification of 9.8% increase on premiums on 22 October 2013. Responded requesting further information and documentation for cancelling my membership (premiums will exceed R8000 following the increase!). I have since received no contact from a human being - despite 3 additional e-mail queries I've received only automated responses promising a reply that never arrives.
I have twice also filled out a survey sent to me by Medshield indicating my displeasure (survey promises that somebody will call - no surprise, no call).
The call centre is no better and provides no option for members to speak to a consultant - all 'member' options terminate in an automated request for information or ring forever.
