Tropicana River Lodge

My family wanted a weekend away together. When we arrived at 8:15 pm we wanted dinner only to watch other patrons either have to order take out (Which we landed up having to do after 20 min of no service) or wait for 1 1/2 hours to be told their order cant be done because of problems in the kitchen. The room aircon had no controller nor did the TV. The doors of the cupboards could not lock due to previous damage to the locking mechanism. The glassware was completely damaged to a point that one would prefer not to risk using it in fear of it breaking completely. They had a party of people whom i don't believe were patrons of the hotel but the self catering units who decided to party the night away with blaring music on the river bank right outside the hotel windows. The following day they had a wedding on where all those guests had taken all parking for the hotel guests. They too had their music blaring all day and night, to such a point that we packed our bags at 10:45 the Saturday evening and left. Definitely not the 4 Star as advertised. We were not the only guests that had a problem either. What a weekend from. Never Aagin.
