I had some pathology tests done as part of a diagnosis of asthma. I was put onto Discoveryhealth chronic asthma program. I enquired of Discoveryhealth whether the pathology bill could be paid as part of my chronic asthma diagnosis. I was told to get the doctor to complete a justification form (out of hospital benefit). The doctor did this, and I submitted the form to Discovery. I was then told that the pathology bill had the wrong ICD10 codes, and must be resubmitted with the correct codes. With some effort I arranged this and the bill was resubmiited. I contacted Discovery to see if they would pay the bill, but the issue was referred to chronic department. I contacted Discovery 13 further times with no result, and have just paid the bill myself.
