Lancet negligent, yet customers are handed ove

I recently received an sms from Lancet informing me that I have been handed over to ITC, yet no statement, letter, or correspondence of any sort was received prior to this regarding an outstanding amount for May 2012.
In March 2013 I requested a statement from Lancet. This statement did NOT reflect any outstanding amounts.
My Medical Aid informed me that the reason for the non-payment was because Lancet did not provide the required information with the claim. The request was sent to Lancet, but no response was received in this regard.
So if this company cannot perform a simple task such as submitting a claim, why should we trust them with anything else?
