Service?!?. what service?

I placed an order for new contact lenses in July after trying the trial pairs for almost three weeks. August came and went but I hadn't seen hide nor hair of my contacts. I called them to enquire on Friday 30th, and the lady on the phone said she was going to check why, and call me back. She didn't! I went into the store on Sunday 2nd September to enquire further; No real answer. instead, Gita said she had to call the suppliers to find out what the delay was, and that she could only do that on Monday. She'd then get back to me to let me know what's happening (or at least get me another trial pair as this is my last). Monday came and went, but the call never did. I again called them on Wednesday 4th to follow-up. Another lady wanted me to recount the story from the beginning (really now?!), but i asked her to let me speak with Gita. Gita said she would call me back (by now I was skeptical of any "call back" offers). But she did, and said I can now collect a pair of trial contacts this afternoon.

What must one do to simply get proper and efficient service first time around?. How much longer will it take, & will I have to chase after them once again??
