Vitality simply cancelled when switiching jobs

I have been a Discovery member for years and had a uninterrupted vitality status for the same duration. My employer paid my medical aid and when I resigned in March 2013 there was a month that the transition of the payment for the Medical Aid and Vitality caused a lapse in the payments. Both payments were caught up and every thing was fine until I realized that Vitality had simply cancelled my membership and I had to start from the beginning again. Now we have no access to any of the rewards or any of the benefits that we built up over the years. Our status, that costs a fortune every year to reach, has been reversed and we are back to blue. I have to do all the tests again. Get the whole family to do the same all because Vitality can't pick up a phone to find out what's going on or to warn you that the membership is under threat of being cancelled. The worst is that the call centre just pull up their shoulders and say sorry. We have medical aid, life and endowments with this company and they can't be bothered to send you an sms or email to say there is a problem.
