Appalling Service in patient care

My grandfather was admitted to the hospital for cancer. For the first few days we were given no information and had no idea what was going on. He suffered the whole of his first night in pain as his button to call the nurse did not work and no one checked on him the whole night. After his operation he was in ICU where the family walked in several times to find him with his drain, drip and catheter pulled out with not one nurse noticing. This was traumatic experience for all who had to witness it. They then proceeded to restrain him so tight he lost circulation in his hands. The nurses were very rude and yet again were given no information. Upon leaving the hospital there was no one to assist us or tell us the care we would need to give him when we took him home. If I had known the service we were to receive I would have preferred to take him to Joburg General as the service there is better. The only difference was a good doctor and the outrageous prices. In the economy we are in I would expect better service from a hospital associated with Netcare. Furthermore when attempting to collect medicine from the pharmacy we were greeted by rude staff who refused to give us the medication.
