Bought art with CASH pod cheques with no money in

Dr Pitso 6312245985083 bought art and paid with pod cash cheques from Feb 2013 to January 2014. The first cheques for the months Feb 2013 to April 2013 was return to sender and with numerous calls and messages to him and droving 300km the dr paid the money in two payments. Its now three months again and walking the same path dr Pitso's CASH cheques is send back again. It doesn't help to be polite the dr just don't care and is a totally different person to which my ex partner sold the art too. We tried to take back the art which is still our property as stated on the invoice as well but DR PITSO wants us to go to Court. We did phone the police yo open a criminal case against him for paying with CASH cheques of which there is no money in his account and they recommend we go to Court. Please help us to get the outstanding payments for May to July 2013 as well as payment of the other pod cheques
