My husband had an injury at work and went to McCord hospital to do blood tests etc. Discovery did not pay for the tests, to this day we do not know why. He was handed over to Select Online for non-payment. The collection agent allergedly sent letters to the old address which we moved from more than 2 years ago! We have tried to contact them on numbers saved on Credit Bureau but could not track them down as the lady just left her name, not the name of the company. We called McCord and they had no idea what the claim was for.

The amount has since increased from R500 to R1208, when questioned, the lady claims this is interest and legal fees, when I ask for details she only tells me about smss she supposedly sends monthly to my husband.
Now if my husband is making an effort to clear his name, would he not make arrangements with a collector that is clearly contacting him? Is sms the only effective way that she could use to communicate? I do not believe her story one bit. However it all started with Discovery not paying the bill.

Can Discovery please get in touch with McCord or Select online to clear this mess?
