The worst service I have ever had!

I had surgery on the 14/11/2012. I paid the surgeon and anaesthetist myself immediately after the operation and sent the claims to Discovery. The initial payment was paid into a Standard bank account that my husband closed over 7 years ago. Obviously this was not the account that our debit comes from. Not entirely sure why Discovery still had these banking details and why they don't check the details before putting money into the account. This was not the account we were using when we restarted our discovery membership 6 yrs ago after being away for 3 years.
Standard bank is the only company to re-use bank account numbers so the transfer was successful despite the name of the account holder being incorrect. I informed Discovery within 7 days of the transfer that we had not received the amount, and that was when they discovered the money had been sent to the wrong account. Standard bank informed me that discovery are responsible for applying for a refund. I have provided Discovery with proof that the account is not in my husband's name. And now discovery tell me they can do nothing... I must get the money from standard Bank. Why can't discovery sort this out?
