Insisting goods are imported but made in back yard

I ordered a lounge suite with Joy Furniture. I was told it will be imported and cost R75000. I was told it will come from Italy in 6 - 8 weeks.

I called after 7 weeks and told it was being made in their factory which is in the back yard.

I was told they will order me one from Italy on urgent order as that is what I was promised.

Later I was told by Christo the manager that I will take the sofa they made locally or I can loose my 25% of my deposit which was over R18000 and they will put it on the floor and sell it.

I was told they will not order an import sofa for me. They have made a decision after I have paid that they will make the sofa at their premises and that is final.

I have now paid R75000 and still not received my sofa after 11 weeks.

Joy furniture lies on every call and email. I have proof.

They will not return your calls. The service is terrible. Now I can’t get delivery.

I would not recommend Joy Furniture. Please do not buy from them.
